2023 Schedule of Events at Sandy Pines

Our festive event weekends are the highlight of the season for many of our guests. Tour vintage campers, compete to be s’mores champ,or participate in the ever-popular grand finale! Activities are open to campground guests only.

Opening Weekend | May 12-14
Join us for our Opening Weekend! Kick off camping season with us!

Memorial Day Weekend | May 26-29
Safari Tents, Camp Cottages, Unique Retreats, and saltwater pool open on the weekend that unofficially kicks off summer! Join us for a bounce house, tie-dying ($), kids’ crafts, and more.

Vintage Camping Weekend | June 9-11
Our annual Vintage Camping Weekend will include a vintage camper tour and a group bonfire with a dessert potluck. If you own a classic Airstream, retro RV, or antique pop-up, this is your weekend to show off your baby and connect with your tribe! Kids’ Bike and Pup Parade | July 4th
Join us for our annual Children’s Bike Parade! Deck out your bike, tricycle, or wagon – and your pups – in patriotic swag for a chance to win prizes.
We will also have a bouncy house onsite for the weekend.

National S’Mores Weekend | August 11-13
This weekend is designed for the S’mores-lover in all of us no matter what your age! Enjoy gourmet s’mores fixings, s’mores gear and s’mores inspired food in our General Store all weekend.

Great Maine Camp Out | Sep 15-17
Our annual Great Maine Camp Out weekend will be filled with kids’ crafts, our always popular S’Mores Recipe Contest, campfire cooking class, group bonfire, and more!

Sandy Pines State Fair Carnival | Sep 22-24
Our annual State Fair Carnival is a winner with kids of all ages! Wildlife Ecology Center & Farm School will join us with some adorable animal friends. Bake up your favorite cookies for our Best Cookie Contest and get ready to compete in our second annual corn hole tournament.

Spooky Pines & The Grand Funale | October 6-9
Our closing weekend tradition includes kids’ fall crafting, face painting, bounce house, tie-dying ($), and live music. Celebrate Halloween early at our Trick or Treating fest with a costume contest and site-decorating contest. And Sunday, join us for some old-fashioned family game fun.
