Join Our Team | Seasonal Jobs in Maine

Located just over a mile from Goose Rocks Beach in beautiful Kennebunkport, Sandy Pines Campground was the first Maine glamping resort to open and is still considered the best. We offer accommodations for every budget and preference, from rustic tent and RV campsites to our signature unique retreats with King-size beds and stylish décor that has earned accolades from local and national media as well as our guests.

As we prepare for the 2023 season, we seek highly motivated and dependable individuals for a variety of jobs in Maine. Whether you’re looking to establish a work history or a seasonal opportunity to earn a competitive hourly rate with a great team, you’ll find it at Sandy Pines!

We open for the season on May 12th and are open through Columbus Day, but work begins in mid-April for those interested in helping us set up. Employees may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of a discretionary season-end bonus contingent on performance, meeting goals, or fulfilling a mutually agreed upon end date.

Housekeeping – Public Bathhouses & Glamping Tents
Exceptional cleanliness is an essential part of the Sandy Pines camping experience. We’ve always been proud of our sparkling clean bathrooms, and we took our cleaning schedules and protocols to even higher levels in 2020 in response to COVID-19. As a housekeeping team member, you will be responsible for cleaning our modern, private bathhouses that feature a toilet, shower, and sink. This will involve wiping down walls and washing floors, toilets, and faucets. You will also empty trash cans and replace all paper goods. Our glamping tents require the same housekeeping services as luxury hotel rooms, including bed making, vacuuming, dusting and linen replacement. You will also sweep and mop our lobby and complete other cleaning tasks as assigned.

Welcome/Reception – Front Desk Associate
As the first faces our guests see upon arrival, you will greet them with a smile, thank them for choosing us, and check them in and out as efficiently as possible. This will involve processing credit card payments, showing guests where their accommodations are located on their campground map, highlighting campground features, and recommending local restaurants and attractions upon request. In addition to checking in guests, you will answer phones and make reservations on our online reservation system. Basic computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office. You must also be able to communicate with guests in person, on the phone and via email. Additional duties include keeping our lobby clean and assisting other staff members as needed.

Retail/General Store Staff
Home of the best breakfast sandwiches in Kennebunkport, our General Store has everything our guests may have forgotten to pack along with the basic food essentials to avoid a trip to the supermarket. After greeting each guest and answering any questions they have, you will relay food orders to the kitchen and process payment for all items purchased. You will stock shelves and maintain a clean store throughout the day and perform other duties as assigned. Basic computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office.

Activities Staff
One of our goals at Sandy Pines is to provide our guests with everything they need for an enjoyable vacation without leaving the campground. Our activities staff is a key part of fulfilling this goal by creating and coordinating fun and engaging activities for guests of all ages. Examples include, but are not limited to: group BBQs, games and tournaments, special events, ice cream socials, crafts and scavenger hunts. Successful candidates will have exceptional amounts of enthusiasm and patience along with food service or event management experience.

Grounds and Maintenance
You will help us keep our campground looking great, from landscaping and general maintenance to picking up trash and filling potholes in our dirt roads. Other duties include assisting guests with various needs like helping them back in their RVs and moving firepits as well as assisting our events staff and managers with any tasks that are essential to making guests happy.
